| Comments: | I had just missed the drinking age in 1986. They bumped it from 18 to 19 for a spell before finally bumping it up to 21. It really sucked for me since all of my close friends were a year or two older and enjoying the nightlife. Well, one night the odds were in my favor as they dragged me out early to the Shuffle Inn in Madison, WI to see Lezlie Thriller. Amazing how 24 years later that one show and Rondo's amazing performance has stayed with me. I was lucky enough to see him numerous times after than in the Twin Cities. The man never disappointed. Wish I'd had the courage to say hello but it was the eighties and I was young and stupid and Rondo was larger than life. Since then, living in LA, I've seen so many bands and trends come and go. Lots of wannabes of course and a lot of really talented blokes and girlies too. It goes without saying that Rondo was the real deal. But when I heard you all playing it was better than areosmith! And he just knew how to rock and kinda blues mixed together. HE was a true performer and I feel your pain.
