Comments:I just found out today Rondo is no longer with us. This is heartbreaking news. I was his room mate for awhile. We shared my good times together. Comments:I have been thinking about Rondo quite a bit lately. In Duluth/Superior area, he was THEEE Rock Star! I used to play bass in a band calle Nile. Guitarist Joe and I used to do some crazy things onstage, but we were in agreement that, no matter WHAT we did as a team, Rondo would be able to outdo us.....as a single musician. Rondo was the "it factor" with that X Factor that separates the Greats from the Goods and Wannabe's. For those of you who would like a treasureable piece of history, I filmed a Turbulent Gravy concert at The Paciffic Club in Superior on Jan 1, 1998. Basically, this was New Year's Eve 1997 and the bars in Souptown were open all night. Rondo and T. Gravy hit the stage at 5am. I happened to have a full-size video camer with me and I shot just over an hour of Rondo and band. Due to the volume of the show vs the small condenser mic on my cam, much of the sound is distorted, BUT it is not terrible. It is actually a very enjoyable watch!!! If anyone would like a copy o

Comments:I met Rondo in CA where we started Lezlie Thriller. I ran sound for him from 1979 until 1984.He was the best guitar player I have ever seen or heard and a good friend. He was in my wedding party when I got married and left the band to go to school.

Comments:I had just missed the drinking age in 1986. They bumped it from 18 to 19 for a spell before finally bumping it up to 21. It really sucked for me since all of my close friends were a year or two older and enjoying the nightlife. Well, one night the odds were in my favor as they dragged me out early to the Shuffle Inn in Madison, WI to see Lezlie Thriller. Amazing how 24 years later that one show and Rondo's amazing performance has stayed with me. I was lucky enough to see him numerous times after than in the Twin Cities. The man never disappointed. Wish I'd had the courage to say hello but it was the eighties and I was young and stupid and Rondo was larger than life. Since then, living in LA, I've seen so many bands and trends come and go. Lots of wannabes of course and a lot of really talented blokes and girlies too. It goes without saying that Rondo was the real deal. Comments:I miss the band playing in the local area. Third Rock, Max limit, Charlies and River Inn. Those were the good ole days! I had always thought he reminded me of areosmith. But when I heard you all playing it was better than areosmith! And he just knew how to rock and kinda blues mixed together. HE was a true performer and I feel your pain.
