When I first signed this Guest Book (and my entry was filled with typos;sorry) I was amazed yet "moved" by the MANY postings that I read by those who still miss Rondo. I see that people are STILL posting, which is a wonderful demonstration of ongoing love for our friend. So I had posted 2 notices here with an offer to send any of you a DVD (transferred from VHS) that I filmed of Rondo live at the P-Club with Turbulant Gravy on New Year's Day in 1998. I am selling copies of this disc at a mere $5 just to cover the materials and postage. Frankly, I am surprised that only two of you have responded, and of the two, only one purchased a DVD from me, and that is Nunnu, who was the drummer of T. Gravy, and he is the drummer in this DVD. Going back 10 years ago, Rondo and Turbulent Gravy took the stage at the P-Club on New Year's Day 1998 at approximately 5am. I was "out on the town" and had my video camera with me. I managed to capture 1 hr and 9 minutes of Rondo and the band. The camera work is shaky at times and the sound is distorted because it was soooo loud. But overall, this is an EXCELLENT opportunity to witness Rondo onstage again...and his performance was excellent. I am charging a mere $5 for each disc to cover the cost of materials, shipping and gas to the post office. Many of us love and miss Rondo and I am making this available to everyone for that VERY reason! I never heard him utter a bad word about anyone and he was a lot of fun to be around. He made everyone around him better. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing. He was a big part of who I am today. |

| Comments: | Back in 1998 (I do not remember the month), I used my VHS camcorder to film Rondo and Turbulent Gravy at The Paciffic Club. I recently transferred that footage from VHS to DVD. The camera was shaky at various points (I was not an experienced cammer) and the sound fluxuated between being distorted and being somewhat clean due to the small mic on the camcorder and the high volume of the P.A., but this is well-worth seeing. The total running time is just under 1 hour and 10 minutes. If any of you would like a copy, contact me at robbylane74@gmail.com. There will be a small fee of $5 to cover the cost of materials and shipping. I would never EVER want to "profit" on my dear friend Rondo. But I don't just want to mail out a bunch of discs at my own expense, either, so I feel that $5 will clearly cover the expenses. I plan to travel to the Superior area today on a business trip and will drive past Rondo's residence in memory. There is virtually NO other musician in the twin ports area who had a bigger impact on me than Rondo. He was the ultimate force of Rock n Roill onstage. And though he was a wild guy, he was not dumb. He was VERY intelligent and wonderful to converse with. He was an encyclpedia of knowldge, information, and adventures. Furthermore, he would be open about ANYTHING. There was never a topic that Rondo refused to discuss. And for a man whom I admired so highly, I always showed strong respect for me as a musician. How flattering it is to be given high regards by the person who you respect so much. I don't know that I will ever come to terms with Rondo, The Legend! |

I have only good memories of the time we all spent together playing as "The Dalton Brothers" and then as "Lezlie Thriller". I remember showing up to audition for the band and was up against Ron for the same position. What were the chances they would keep both of us? We had some good times on stage and off. Playing RISK and pooling our coins to buy an eight pack of Miller "shorty's", when we should have been practicing. Please email if you would like to catch up, It's been a long time. When I first signed this Guest Book (and my entry was filled with typos;sorry) I was amazed yet "moved" by the MANY postings that I read by those who still miss Rondo. I see that people are STILL posting, which is a wonderful demonstration of ongoing love for our friend. So I had posted 2 notices here with an offer to send any of you a DVD (transferred from VHS) that I filmed of Rondo live at the P-Club with Turbulant Gravy on New Year's Day in 1998. I am selling copies of this disc at a mere $5 just to cover the materials and postage. Frankly, I am surprised that only two of you have responded, and of the two, only one purchased a DVD from me, and that is Nunnu, who was the drummer of T. Gravy, and he is the drummer in this DVD. Perhaps many of you are skeptical about sending %5 to a stranger (me) but I am very eager to share this with any of you who would like to relive the moments of Rondo once again. | Comments: | You will see another posting by me if you scroll down. I am offering a Turbulent Gravy concert on DVD. Going back 10 years ago, Rondo and Turbulent Gravy took the stage at the P-Club on New Year's Day 1998 at approximately 5am. I was "out on the town" and had my video camera with me. I managed to capture 1 hr and 9 minutes of Rondo and the band. The camera work is shaky at times and the sound is distorted because it was soooo loud. But overall, this is an EXCELLENT opportunity to witness Rondo onstage again...and his performance was excellent. I am charging a mere $5 for each disc to cover the cost of materials, shipping and gas to the post office. Many of us love and miss Rondo and I am making this available to everyone for that VERY reason! | Comments: | I just discovered this site. I played briefly in Lezlie Thriller for a few months at the end of 1986 when I replaced Linda. Ron used to amaze me every night. He was a true friend. I never heard him utter a bad word about anyone and he was a lot of fun to be around. He made everyone around him better. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing. He was a big part of who I am today. |

| Comments: | Back in 1998 (I do not remember the month), I used my VHS camcorder to film Rondo and Turbulent Gravy at The Paciffic Club. I recently transferred that footage from VHS to DVD. The camera was shaky at various points (I was not an experienced cammer) and the sound fluxuated between being distorted and being somewhat clean due to the small mic on the camcorder and the high volume of the P.A., but this is well-worth seeing. The total running time is just under 1 hour and 10 minutes. If any of you would like a copy, contact me at robbylane74@gmail.com. There will be a small fee of $5 to cover the cost of materials and shipping. I would never EVER want to "profit" on my dear friend Rondo. But I don't just want to mail out a bunch of discs at my own expense, either, so I feel that $5 will clearly cover the expenses. Just beware that this IS amateur footage and I am ONLY making this available because so many of us miss Rondo.... and this is an opportunity to see him in real good form! |

| Comments: | I signed this guestbook less than 2 months ago. I am back because my thoughts of Rondo remain strong. I plan to travel to the Superior area today on a business trip and will drive past Rondo's residence in memory. There is virtually NO other musician in the twin ports area who had a bigger impact on me than Rondo. He was the ultimate force of Rock n Roill onstage. And though he was a wild guy, he was not dumb. He was VERY intelligent and wonderful to converse with. He was an encyclpedia of knowldge, information, and adventures. Furthermore, he would be open about ANYTHING. There was never a topic that Rondo refused to discuss. And for a man whom I admired so highly, I always showed strong respect for me as a musician. How flattering it is to be given high regards by the person who you respect so much. I don't know that I will ever come to terms with Rondo, The Legend! |
